The LaFollette Public Library strives to meet the needs and desires of all its many and varied customers, from the very young to the senior citizens. We accomplish this by providing books, videos, DVD's, CD's, magazines, newspapers, audio books, electronic books, the Tennessee Electronic Library, Internet access, and other services. By using the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL), you may access any number of databases free of charge from any library with Internet access. The website for this service is https://tntel.info . The R.E.A.D.S. website is https://reads.overdrive.com. With this service you can download digital books and audio books. This is proving to be a very popular addition to our services.

We conduct various children's programming throughout the year, the biggest of these being the Summer Reading Program. Attendance at this program is increasing yearly. Children also enjoy coming to the library at Christmas for our annual Christmas party and to visit with Santa.

We have the Rosetta Stone software for learning the Spanish language. We also are a site for taking the Boating Safety Test, and you can also register to vote in the library. We provide free of charge income tax forms for your convenience. We have one shelf in the library devoted to home schooling. One of our newest and most used services is the Dial-A-Story. You may dial (423)566-5669 any time, day or night, and hear a story being read to you.

Students come into the library daily for help with school projects, from the very youngest to the collegiate level. They may access the Internet for their information, or they may use our reference section. They may also check out items they need.

We are a small library if you measure by space, but we are large in the many services we provide.
